Success Stories

2022-23: 1979 Batch took up restoration of kitchen equipment , repairs to RO Plant , refurbishment of water supply in the entire campus by bringing to usage of all borewells , connecting them to Overhead Tank , making it functional at a cost 3.50 Lakhs. Toilets are provided with water storage tanks as well kitchen. Repairs to kitchen equipment, LPG system, stream generator, borewells , pumps , RO Plant , restoration of water supply to dormitories through Overhead tank are done.

2022-23 : Storage Stand For Plates at the dining hall was sponsored by 1983 and 2008 Batches at a cost of 1.60 Lakhs . This avoids keeping the plates at the dormitories and the students can keep the plates at the dining hall itself. Now it is under usage .

2022-23 : RO Plant is sponsored by by LIC Housing Finance Corporation Ltd at a cost of 2.70 Lakhs which comes along with a 3-year AMC . Students are assured safe drinking water.

2022-23 : Iron Grill for new Dormitory : Sponsored by 1983 Batch and completed at a cost of 2.50 Lakhs for the safety of inmates in the new hostel.

2022-23: Roof Top Solar : Panels sponsored by LIC Housing Finance Corporation Ltd ( Jaya Prakash 1981) at cost of 11.00 Lakhs. Essential areas are covered with power supply at times of power cuts. • In operation now

2022-23: The NS and PS lab flooring in the hall and the verandah has sunk totally making it not usable. 1976 Batch took up the funding to a tune of 4.50 Lakhs wherein the flooring is redone ,painting , and correcting the lab platforms etc. The lab equipment is provided by 1978 Batch at a cost of 2.50 Lakhs . Now the labs with new look are ready for use with sufficient lab equipment in place.

2022-23: On the eve of celebrating the Golden Jubilee on 17th Dec 2022, 2007 and 1983 Batches have constructed a Pylon commemorating the occasion at a cost of 1.50 Lakhs . A symbol of the successful journey by the School and its students over the last 50 years. The genesis of school and the vision behind the establishment of its own kind of institution is explained on the plaque.

2022-23: Batch 1978 have taken up two culvert works on the drain crossing the school premises at a cost of 5.00 Lakhs. Approaches are also laid with concrete . One culvert is near the school building which gives shortcut walking distance from the hostel to School.

2022-23 : Batches 1978 and 1982 have recognized the need for proper gaming facilities for the students to develop them in an overall sense . Together they sponsored about 7.00 Lakhs towards 200 m track, and other courts for volley ball , tennikoit, kho-kho etc . The track is illuminated with solar lights. Earlier students did not have facilities or gaming equipment. Under this programme , gaming equipment is provided and now the students are joyfully enjoying their games.

2022-23: On the occasion of Golden Jubilee , 1980 Batch have sponsored 40 solar street lights spread across the campus giving the students lively nights and safe environment. Even the running track and courts are covered with lighting. Approximate amount spent is 8.00 Lakhs.

2022-23 : The dilapidated C Block which was the Principals Office at the times of its glory in 70 s and 80 s is now taken up for renovation by two batches 1975 and 1981 at a cost of Rs.20.00 Lakhs on the eve of Golden Jubilee. It is not in use for more than a decade. Lost most of the tiled roofing and wood work. Antique look of the building is retained by replacing the damaged roof with the same type of new tiles. Two of the rooms are clubbed to make Computer Lab where students will be trained on computer skills. The computers ( 30 Nos) are arranged by LIC Housing Finance Corporation Ltd. Granite Flooring is provided in place of the damaged cement flooring . Earlier Principal's room is converted into staff room for use by the teachers.

2022-23 : The dilapidated library is taken up for renovation in the month of Dec 2022 on the eve of Golden Jubilee Celebrations at a cost of RS. 25 .00 Lakhs. Entire contribution wad made by 1981 and 1984 Batches and the renovation work was got done by Y Srinivasa Murthy, an old student of APRST. The library is provided with new furniture , digital library facilities, and given a total facelift with new roof, false ceiling , electrification , granite flooring etc. Library books are being provided. It is provided with computer terminals for using online library.

Computer Lab sponsored by LIC Housing Finance Ltd with the help of Sri Jaya Prakash Babu , Regional Manager , LICHFL and also alumni of 1981 Batch was inaugurated on 15th July 2023 . LICHFL has also taken up solar roof top back up and a RO Plant to the dining hall , all put together for a value of 35.00 Lakhs. The Association has felicitated him on this occasions.

We have arranged summer coaching camp was arranged for IX class students. Polycet and APRJC entrance exam coaching was provided for X class. Together the association has spent 1,98,000/- with funding from 1978 and 1981 batches.

Mr. Sri Ram is an old student at AP Residential School, Tadikonda, 2015 passed out . He Finished his Post graduation from SV University and currently appearing for Bank exams. He is living in Vijayawada. He approached for financial assistance for his monthly expenses as his family is facing some financial problems. Financial assistance of ₹4,000 per month is being provided through our association. One donor K Sudhakar Babu, 1975 was kind enough to provide the assistance for a period of three months, i.e. May, Jun and July 23.

2022-23 : Teaching staff were provided with Table and Chair in each class room which was sponsored by 2006 & 2003 Batches at a cost of 2.50 Lakhs. Caring teachers will always motivates them for better involvement.

Mr. Hariprasada Chari M is an old student at AP Residential School, Tadikonda, 2020 passed out. He is pursuing MBBS at RIMS, Ongole. Financial assistance of ₹4,500 per month is being provided through our association to meet his hostel expenditure. In addition, one alumni member is supporting for additional expenditure towards books.

The association has sanctioned scholarships worth 5.30 Lakhs to meet part of the tuition fee in the Intermediate Education to 11 students who secured more than 560 marks in X Class . Two of the students are sponsored by Navy Employees who got impressed by this kind of initiative. 3 are for BPC, one for MEC and rest for MPC. BPC students are sanctioned at the rate of Rs.70000/- per candidate and Rs.40000/- for the MPC and MEC students.
